STANDARD BUSHINGS

Colonial Bushings, Inc. is the premier supplier of standard drill guide bushings in Southeast Michigan . With tens of thousands of bushings in stock, we are confident we can meet your drill guide bushing needs. All bushings listed below are manufactured from 52100 steel or C1144 Stress proof steel, contributing to their guaranteed durability and stability. These drill guide bushings are heat treated to achieve Rockwell values of C62-64.

STYLES P + PM

Our Press Fit and Press Fit Metric drill guide bushings are our most popular and inexpensive offering. These bushings are typically used in single-step drilling and can be spaced closer together than other bushings when pressed flush in the fixture plate. The Press Fit and Press Fit Metric bushings are also available unground with additional outside diameter stock.

STYLES H + HM

The Head Press Fit and Head Press Fit Metric bushings are characterized by a head on the bushing that prevents it from being pushed through the fixture. These bushings are capable of accepting heavier axial loads than regular Press Fit bushings, regardless of whether they are recessed into the fixture of mounted with the head above the fixture plate. Like the regular Press Fit bushings, the H and HM styles can be delivered unground with additional outside diameter stock.

STYLES F + SF + FM

Slip & Fixed Renewable drill guide bushings are used most commonly in production drilling. The Slip & Fixed Renewable bushing is generally used with a liner bushing and lockscrew or clamp and lockscrew. These bushings can be quickly replaced out of various fixtures. We also offer a model designated as type FM which may be held in place with a clamp.

STYLES L + HL

The Liner and Head Liner standard drill guide bushings can be pressed into a fixture to accept renewable type bushings, protecting the fixture from repeated bushing changes. The Head Liner bushing is generally best used in cases where excessive axial loads or pounding might dislodge the regular Liner bushing.
